Butterwort (Pinguicula moranensis) 3.5"
All are currently in bloom!
Butterworts, or Pinguicula moranensis, are a carnivorous species of plant that uses their soft green rosette-like leaves to catch fruit flies, fungus gnats, and other small household insects. They produce stunning purple blooms and are perfect pest busters!
Butterworts will thrive in moderately bright light (think evening and early morning direct sunlight) and high humidity, but will tolerate less humid environments.
This species will do best when soil is consistently damp, but not soggy. Do not allow to dry out completely. Water with filtered water for best results.
Butterworts will do well in an orchid bark soil mixture with pumice and perlite, with a sphagnum moss top layer, or a mixture of 50/50 peat moss and perlite.
