Shipping & Return Policy

Live plants are ineligible for refund.
*An exchange may be warranted in cases of extraordinary shipping damage, pest infestation or non-viability of plant material. Where an exchange for plant(s) of equal value or lesser value is not possible, a refund will be applied to the original method of payment upon successful return of plant material.
We guarantee that your purchase be free from damaging pests and that outgoing stock is always methodically and carefully screened.
Please note, fungus gnats are not generally considered harmful insects and as such are not included in this guarantee.
We reserve the right to reject any claims where there is evidence of negligence, purposeful damage, or undue care practice such as early repotting, pruning, or application of abrasive chemicals and pesticides. Photos will be requested of plants and packaging to ascertain validity of claim.
If the order you received has been subject to intensive shipping damage or is deemed dead upon arrival, you must contact The Urban Botanist within (5) days of receipt to file your claim.
In the event an exchange is approved, shipping costs may be charged to your account.
We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

The Urban Botanist does not offer returns or exchanges at this time.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).
You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Original shipping costs are nonrefundable. The Urban Botanist ships healthy, well rooted plants and does not take responsibility for delays by carriers. We ship using carriers that have a 2-3 day shipping time frame maximum. If you are not home to receive your parcel, and the package is then left at a pickup zone, The Urban Botanist is not responsible for the condition of the plant upon final receipt. Please watch your shipment closely so as to avoid any shipping issues.

Please note:

No two plants will ever look exactly alike. Whenever possible your order will look very similar to the specimens depicted on the website, if not the exact specimen depicted. Slight variances may occur.
